I have worked in the field of addiction for the past 10 years.   I am a Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor in NY and a Certified Addiction Professional in Florida.  I spent several years at a large addiction treatment center in upstate New York working with all levels of care from inpatient rehabilitation to outpatient therapy.  I have facilitated interventions for families and friends of addicts for the past eight years.  In addition to treatment services, I have joined my wife in providing trainings to many professionals in both New York and Florida.

I have worked in the addiction field for the past 15 years.  I have worked with adolescents, adults and geriatric patients.  I received my Master's Degree in Psychology in 1993 and my RN in 1998.  I am licensed in New York State as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and as an RN in both NY and FL.  I am currently pursuing my Doctorate in Education.  I co-developed a 350-hour CASAC training program in upstate NY.  After our move to Florida, I was offered the opportunity to teach a 450-hour Behavioral Health Technician Program in Hillsborough County.  I also develop on-line continuing education classes for several agencies including the New York State Nursing Association.  My specialties include: Co-dependency, Adult Children of Addicted Families, Hepatitis, and Pain Management in Recovery.  I enjoy educating families, friends, concerned community agencies and professionals on the difficulties those affected by addiction face.
